no offense sis but bts fans –especially actual korean fans– being wary of the casual racism bts may face at the bbmas is valid as hell (like are we gonna forget how disrespectful the WHOLE damn audience was when tiffany accepted that award for snsd in the youtube awards shit and no one clapped). just because bts have gotten respect from some western artists doesnt mean much for this especially since most of the artists that recognize their talents are poc themselves and literally face casual racism at award shows all the time. asians are literally butts of jokes all the time in western media and to be quite frank as a white person whom are you to talk? lmao you have no right to casually brush off the concerns fans of color– again especially asian/korean fans– have for bts possibly facing racism and possibly lowkey jabs for their being koreans’s from korean where only 1/7 members can speak fluent english during the award show

filipinos were encouraged to fight for the US under the promise of pay and benefits (including citizenship!) which many (literally thousands) never received or have been denied because of bureaucratic red tape in determining service eligibility.
